Southeast Wealth Manager Hires MD, Looks To Recruit More Advisors

Florida-based JHS Capital Advisors said yesterday that Bruce Snell has joined its wealth management division as managing director, and will be given the job of hiring some of the thousands of advisors in the South Carolina region.

Snell, who has more than 28 years of experience in the industry, including 10 years at Wachovia Investments and five years at Merrill Lynch, most recently worked at Carolina First Bank as director of brokerage, supervising a team of 26 advisors with more than $900 of assets under management.

“South Carolina is an emerging market for attracting top advisor talent and we are offering them a tremendous opportunity to join a new kind of asset management firm, founded on the principles of ethics and integrity,” said Mary Kennemur, president of the wealth management group at JHS Capital Advisors.

“There are more than 3,000 advisors in the state, many looking to make a career move. We are excited to welcome Bruce to JHS and know that he will play an integral role in attracting more advisors to this outstanding firm,” she said.

Snell is a board member of the Bank Insurance and Securities Association and a member of the LPL Financial Institutional Services Executive Advisory Committee.
